This 80 year old tree fell on top of electrical lines and left the area without electricity for 2 days. The tree had obviously been dying for around 5 years and the wood shows the unique spalting. Espino Rubial or Martinique prickly-ash Zanthoxylum martinicense, has a Specific Gravity: 0.46. Hard. The grain is light yellow brown and has a medium to fine texture.
